Another way to improve bone health is to eat a healthy diet. In fact, the current focus of much medical research is the connection between diet and disease. A good diet can help prevent osteoporosis, one of the biggest causes of death in America. It can also reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease. It is no secret that a good diet leads to a long, happy life.

One thing that many people do not do enough of is to take calcium supplements. Calcium deficiency can lead to weak bones and even kidney stones. Luckily, there are plenty of dietary supplements that contain high levels of calcium. These are very easy to find because they are on every grocery store and health food store shelf. However, it is important to know how to take these supplements properly so you get the maximum benefit.

The first step is to know the amount of calcium you should be taking in each day
